I’m part German. I’m also part English, French and Scottish, so it would be logical to assume that I’d like sauerkraut about as much as I do, say, scones or pate de fois gras or oat cakes, but let’s be frank. Sauerkraut was never high on my list except atop the occasional hot dog...that is until Frank’s Kraut came along. Now I’m a big fan. I’m also a big fan of these clever spots, which were written, produced and directed by Mark Davis, whom I’ve known for over 25 years...and though I don’t eat sauerkraut as often as I should, I am now much more aware of what’s going on in the canned vegetable aisle.
